To support the adoption of the SDG Impact Standards, SDG Impact has developed education and training courses to strengthen sustainability and impact management capability and capacity across the market.

Impact Measurement and Management for the SDGs

The Impact Measurement and Management for the SDGs is a free, online course available on the Coursera platform. This course consolidates several decades of work around impact management into a cutting-edge guide. It is based on short videos and lessons with concrete examples. The course provides a sound foundation for the SDG Impact Standards.

With the generous support from Norad, the course is produced by the award-winning team, CASE at Duke University, developed in collaboration with the SDG Impact team and advisors around the world. Open enrolment and in house training on the SDG Impact Standards is available in a range of formats and modalities through our network of Accredited Trainers for the SDG Impact Standards.

UNDP, in partnership with SVI, has developed the SDG Impact Standards Train-the-Trainer course to prepare suitably qualified individuals to become accredited trainers for the SDG Impact Standards. Accredited trainers will lead on awareness raising and adoption of the management and decision-making approach set out in the SDG Impact Standards amongst their clients and across their networks.

Accredited trainers become part of a global community of practice and benefit from regular CPD events, support, and access to a library of resources to help them design and deliver training based on the SDG Impact Standards.

UNDP, in partnership with SVI, is developing the SDG Impact Assurer Training Course to prepare suitably qualified assurers to become Accredited Assurers under the forthcoming SDG Impact Assurance Framework. The SDG Impact Assurer Training aims to build a community of practice of assurers to undertake high quality assurance assessments based on the SDG Impact Standards. Stay tuned.
